Chinese New Year
The Chinese zodiac, known as Sheng Xiao or Shu Xiang, features 12 animal signs. Each year is represented by an animal, called a Chinese zodiac sign.
The animals (zodiac signs) in order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
The date of Chinese New Year changes every year. The first day always begins on the new moon that appears between 21 January and 20 February.
