Quiz: name the Member of Parliament


  1. Labour MP for Hampstead, from 1992 to 2010.
  2. Independent Member of Parliament for Tatton, from 1997 to 2001.
  3. MP for the University of Cambridge, from 1689 to 1690, and then 1701 to 1702.
  4. Sporty Conservative MP for Falmouth in Cornwall, from 1992 to 1997.






  5. Independent MP for Yorkshire from 1784 to 1812, best remembered as an abolitionist.
  6. Became a member of parliament for Kent in 1386. Buried in Westminster Abbey.
  7. MP for the City of London in 1416 but better known as a mayor.

  16. Franco-English writer and historian. From 1906 to 1910, served as one of the few openly Catholic members of the British Parliament.
  17. Scottish author of a famous adventure novel. Unionist MP for the Combined Scottish Universities from 1927 to 1935. Was also governor general of Canada.
  18. Long-distance runner and MP who competed in the Helsinki Olympic Games in 1952.
