Which 14 countries have land borders with China?

China is the most populated country in the world with an estimated 1.4 billion people. It is the second-largest country in the world by land area. China shares international borders with 14 sovereign states. This gives China the world record for sharing its borders with the most countries. Although technically, we have a tie because Russia also shares its borders with 14 neighbouring countries if we include the partially recognized states of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. So typically, asking the question 'which country in the world has the most land borders' is not so straight-forward.
