Geography Factoid -

The highest mountain in Spain is not actually on the Spanish mainland. Mount Teide is a volcano on Tenerife in the Canary Islands and at 3,718-metres is Spain's highest point. However, the highest mountain in continental Spain, Mulhacen, is still the third highest in Western Europe, after Mont Blanc and Mount Etna.
